ACEC-SK supported the Saskatchewan construction industry in advocating to keep construction sites open during COVID. 

Led by the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association, and in conjunction with the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations, WorkSafe Saskatchewan, Merit Contractors Association Saskatchewan, these industry associations developed and published COVID-19 Safety Protocols for Saskatchewan.

Together they have done a lot of really great work in a very short period of time in order to address site safety concerns in as timely a way as possible in order to protect their workers as well as the public.  Excellent communication amongst these industry partners resulted in the Standardized Protocol for Saskatchewan, a document that incorporates what is already being identified as best practices by the construction industry.  An added benefit is consistency of information that can be used by all, including the consulting engineering industry.
