Panelists' Bios

Kaila Habing, P.Eng.

Municipal Engineer, KGS Group

Kaila Habing is a municipal engineer with KGS Group in Regina. She graduated from the University of Regina with a degree in Bachelor of Applied Science, Environmental Systems Engineering with distinction in 2015. During her time at the University, she participated in the Co-op Program where she worked for both the public and private sectors. Her engineering career started in summer of 2015 with a small company called Mera Group where she was a project engineer-in-training for two years until she accepted a position with KGS Group. In May 2018, she obtained her P.Eng. designation. At KGS Group, she works on multiple projects providing design, project management, drafting assistance, tendering services, resident engineering services during construction, and non-resident contract administration. Projects involve water and wastewater treatment systems and site servicing including watermains, sanitary sewers, stormwater sewers, stormwater management, and site grading.

Kai Li, B.E., P.Eng.
Structural Engineer, Engcomp

Kai Li is a structural engineer with Engcomp in Saskatoon. He came from China as an international student to study at the University of Saskatchewan at the age of 17. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan Civil Engineering program with distinction in 2013. His structural engineering career started with WorleyParsons’s Saskatoon Office. His roles expanded from structural design to workshare management. He obtained his P.Eng. designation through the work experience at WorleyParsons. Kai’s 2nd employer was ParkDerochie Coatings Saskatchewan Inc., where he was the senior estimator and project manager. Kai treasures his time with family while still finding time to connect with the community. He actively serves in a local church, which he has been attending for the past 12 years. He has volunteered with APEGS, ACEC-SK, Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE), and Saskatoon Engineering Society (SES).

Olagoke Rufai, P.Eng., M.Eng., PMP.
Project Engineer, AECOM

Olagoke is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and Project Management Professional working in a Project Engineer role with AECOM. He attended the University of Regina, graduating with a Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Industrial Systems Engineering in 2014 and completed a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Toronto in 2018, where he made a lifetime pledge to sustainability and thinking in harmony with nature.

Outside of work, Olagoke volunteers his time in different roles with the Association of Consulting Engineers – YP Group, the Regina Engineering Society and mentorship programs with the University of Toronto. He loves playing racquet sports, soccer and travelling to historically famous places.
