Consultation on Proposed Amendments to The Building Code Regulations, The Energy Code Regulations and The Plumbing Regulations

The Ministry of Government Relations is proposing amendments to three regulations under The Construction Codes, specifically The Building Code Regulations, The Energy Code Regulations and The Plumbing Code Regulations. These amendments are necessary to adopt the 2025 editions of the building, energy and plumbing codes, as well as other housekeeping amendments.

Emails have been sent out to stakeholders. Those interested in reviewing the proposed amendments and providing feedback are encouraged to contact their association to obtain further details and supporting documents. Comments are required by July 24, 2026.
