It is a privilege to have the opportunity to serve as the Chair of ACEC-SK for the 2026-2027 operating year. I am most excited about working with the great, dedicated group that we have that makes up the current Board of Directors. I am proud to serve in the role of Chair for an organization that does so much to serve the Consulting Engineers of our Province.
ACEC-SK recently undertook strategic planning to identify the action items for the Association. The key issues from which the action items were developed were those raised by the membership as areas you most wanted us to focus on. So much work was undertaken on the Strategic Plan this past year under Marc Bourassa’s direction, and I am excited to carry that on over the next term.
Advocacy efforts have been undertaken over the past year to address common procurement language and contracting platforms, workforce shortages and talent concerns and continuing to deliver engineering solutions in an ever-changing world. Over the next year we will continue to grow our advocacy efforts led by our Executive Director, Darlene Leamon-Delorme, and will continue to offer well-run events for our membership organized and planned by great staff like Emmanuella Nnebeife. I look forward to working with our ACEC-SK staff to bring even further value to our member firms.
As with any Association, the strongest are those with strong member engagement. Our Board wants to hear from you and want is important to your firms so that we can have the best impact possible. Get involved in our many Committees, join our events and provide your feedback at any time, the doors are always open.
I look forward to serving over the next year and hearing how we can best represent you.
Sincerely
Lee Peters, M.Eng., P.Eng., PMP
