I am writing to provide a brief update on the rollout of the Government of Saskatchewan’s new procurement system, GEM. Thank you to those of you who were able to join our GEM open house events earlier this year, where we were able to share information about the new system and give you a glimpse into this new way of working together. It was great to meet you, and I look forward to continuing our conversations in the months ahead as we get closer to the launch of GEM later this year.
To prepare you for the go-live of GEM, we have created a page on saskatchewan.ca/GEM that will provide resources and information about the new system. These resources include:
- a slide deck that provides an overview of GEM, the changes ahead and the benefits of the new system;
- a question-and-answer document that provides detailed information about GEM;
- a video that showcases GEM and many of its features; and
- demo videos to demonstrate several tasks in GEM, including how to register in the supplier portal.
These resources will provide valuable information that will ensure you are ready to use GEM when it goes live in fall 2025. We encourage you to check saskatchewan.ca/GEM often, as it will be updated regularly.
