The ministry would like to provide clarification on the new OH&S Declaration (Post-Construction) that was implemented in August 2025.
- New projects tendered as of August 2025 have the requirement for this declaration to be submitted and has been included in Section 1 of the special provisions. The declaration is required to be filled out and submitted by the contractor at Final Completion, which confirms and declares compliance with all OH&S obligations of the contract. Please check the special provisions of your contracts to see if this requirement is included. A reminder of the declaration requirement will also be noted at the pre-construction meeting.
- Prior to August 2025, existing contracts do not have this OH&S Declaration requirement. The contractor is not required to submit it, although they can if they wish.
