Bring an MP to Work

The massive undertaking of the Regina Bypass Project has been visible to resident and visiting commuters as the kilometres stretched outwardly from the original city boundaries. 

On September 14, 2018, as part of ACEC-Canada’s Bring an MP to Work program, ACEC-SK provided a bus tour of the Bypass for Honourable Lori Carr, Saskatchewan Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, Mr. Tom Lukiwski, Member of Parliament for Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan, Paul Walsh P.Eng., Past Chair ACEC-SK and representatives of nine member firms involved in the project:

These are Saskatchewan based  firms and their employees including engineers, geoscientis, technologists and technicians are residents of the province.

They have been involved in the Bypass project since 2013, contributing their local knowledge from the original concept and initial design to their expertise in specialties like roadway geometry, pavement structures, bridge and drainage design, and all aspects required for delivery of a safe, secure and fiscally responsible infrastructure.

Politicians and contributing firms received  a close up view of the expansive project accompanied by a narrative on the various aspects of this historical mega project
