The 2018 Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - Saskatchewan (ACEC-SK) Young Professional Award recipient is Nicholas Kaminski, P. Eng., PMP.

Four years ago, Kaminski accepted a Junior Structural Engineer-in-Training position with KGS Group Consulting Engineers in Regina.  The young man was soon recognized as a keen trainee, with a strong work ethic and a desire to excel at whatever task was before him.  He exceeded the expectations of his supervisor with his dedication in advancing his knowledge in Structural Engineering and project management.  On his own initiative, he deveoped improvements for the internal procedures and workflow within the organization, complete with a procedure manual.

While involved in industrial, commercial and institutional sector projects, Kaminski honed his communication skills building strong client relationships through his professional approach.  Kaminski earned the respect of industrial site clients, who appreciated his safety awareness and attention to detail. 

He has been identified as a prospective leader demonstrating initiative, dedication and professionalism with demonstrated experience  in  consulting,  project  management  and  delivery. His current undertaking of a Master's Degree in parallel with being employed and still successfully delivering work on time, shows his determination and hard-working ethic.

This young Saskatchewan Professional Engineer is focused on advancing towards both his career and his personal goals. He is engaged in volunteer activities within the engineering field, including authoring articles, a very active role with the Canadian Society of Civil Engineering, the Young Professionnals Group of ACEC-SK,as well as non-engineering related organizations such City of Saskatoon, Canadian Blood Services which is a testament to both his Engineering career and his community.

Nicholas Kaminski, P. Eng. is on a fast track to a successful career. He has been identified as an up and coming industry leader by superiors, peers, clients and associations who value his contributions.
