A workshop attended by senior representatives of the Water Security Agency and ACEC-SK’s Environment/Water Resources Committee focused on opportunities to enhance innovation based on challenges each sees in this industry sector.

After reviewing a number of categories, the group concentrated on two – financial (support for alternative funding models) and project delivery (process improvement).

Opportunity statements were developed for each:
•    Financial: Stable, consistent and predictable financial opportunities
•    Project Delivery: On time, on budget and demonstrating value for the public at large

Preliminary recommendations for each category and opportunities for joint action were discussed. There is commitment from each party to work together to advance these two concerns, and we will be meeting to develop a detailed action plan.

ACEC-SK looks forward to the support of its members as the Action Plan is further refined and rolled out in late fall/ early winter.  Watch future newsletters as more information becomes available.
