It is not often that the consulting engineering industry becomes a municipal election issue, but it happened in 2016 in Saskatchewan.  Several larger urbans questioned the cost of using consulting services to deliver large infrastructure projects in their jurisdictions.  To counter this position, ACEC-SK worked educate candidates about the value engineering consultants bring to infrastructure project delivery.  Thank you to those who spoke with their local candidates to educate them about the consulting engineering industry.  We will be closely monitoring how the election results impact this industry’s relationships with municipal clients in the future.
