EQ is the ability to understand emotions, your own and that of others. It is a set of emotional and social skills that define how well we perceive and understand ourselves, develop social relations, cope with challenge and use emotional information effectively. This session provides participants with an overview of EQ and the role of EQ in a leader’s success and well-being. This interactive session will offer participants an opportunity to assess, practice and practically apply EQ.

Dr. Gina Grandy is Professor and Dean for the Hill and Levene Schools of Business. She is a professor in Strategy & Leadership . She is also a trained leadership and performance coach and is an emotional intelligence certified facilitator (EQ-1.2/EQ360). Gina has designed and facilitated leadership development programming, for both aspiring leaders and those holding leadership positions. Gina’s leadership, research, teaching, and consulting experiences are international in scope.
